Bill Selvidge

William L. (Bill) Selvidge received his B.A. in Religion from
Olivet Nazarene College, his M.Div. from Nazarene Theo-
logical Seminary and his Doctor of Missiology from Trinity
Evangelical Divinity School. He has a certificate from the
Chinese University of Hong Kong for a two-year intensive
programme of the Cantonese dialect of Chinese. Bill was
ordained at Kokomo, Indiana USA by Dr. William Greathouse.
Bill pastored in Indiana for several years before he and his
family were assigned as missionaries to Hong Kong. After
returning from fifteen years in Hong Kong, he was senior
pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene in Rockford, Illinois, USA. From 1997-99,
Bill lectured missions classes at EuNC and also served a year as interim rector. From
Europe, he went to Eastern Nazarene College (USA) as missionary-in-residence and
also served on the faculty as lecturer. In 2001, he became Associate Pastor of Mission
and Membership at Wollaston Church of the Nazarene in Quincy, MA (USA).
Bill joined the faculty of Nazarene Theological Seminary in 2002 where he is Associate
Professor of Intercultural Studies and serves as the director of the Master of Arts in
Intercultural Studies degree program. He and his wife, Becky, live in the Kansas City
area and have two adult children.
