Judit Lakatos received her B.A. in Italian language from Kossuth Lajos University (KLU). In 2000, she graduated with a Ph.D. from KLU in History.
For seven years Lakatos was a teacher of history in a professional training college at Budapest Nagy Antal. She was also an international advisor for another university. She is currently serving on the faculty of the Budapest Learning Centre.
