Student Profile - Lina Eusebia Obregon (Haydee)

Welcome to the life of an EuNC student. Today, let’s meet Lina Eusebia Obregon, or as her friends call her, Haydee.

Haydee is from Peru and grew up in a Christian family as the third of seven children. Her parents were strong role models by showing how to find joy by serving others and loving God with all their hearts. Haydee recalls how incredible it was to watch them serve those most in need, and she credits them for having sown the seeds of “service” in her heart.

When she was 13 years old, Haydee began to really have her own faith as a Christian, and she began to work with the children and youth in her Church along with participating in the choir. All in all, Haydee remembers her adolescence as a beautiful time of walking with God, and remembers it as a precious time in her life.

Although Haydee had a great experience in her adolescence, hard times followed as she had to move to different countries for economic reasons and face other difficulties. However, she insists that God took care of her.

Later on, Haydee got the opportunity to move to Spain. She currently resides in Barcelona and she sees it as a place where God has greatly blessed her life. Haydee has lived in Spain for the past nine years, and she’s been a member of the Barcelona Church of the Nazarene for the past six years. Just a few days after arriving at the Church, Haydee began working in ministry, and she immediately felt like she had found her home.

Through working in ministry, Haydee has learned much from her pastors, and she has begun to take courses at the European Nazarene College Learning Center in Barcelona. She hopes to attend EuNC’s main campus in Büsingen for further theological training so she can help with planting Churches in Spain after finishing school.
