Accredited course offerings

  • ACP1000: Orientation to EuNC (0 ECTS) with Alan Schrock. This orientation is required before taking any courses at the EuNC Digital Campus. Its purpose is to give you the necessary information on using our online systems and general academic procedures/processes to provide you with success as you start your first class. You can work through this orientation at any point after you are accepted into the college.
  • MIS1000 Mentoring (0,5 ECTS) with Alan Schrock. 16 September 2019 to 31 July 2020. The mentoring course is a requirement of all of the programmes at EuNC. It provides support for the student throughout their programme – a person to talk through issues they are encountering while studying at EuNC.  It is designed to assist students in their studies, personal and spiritual development.
  • BIB1205 Introduction to the New Testament with Svetlana Khobnia. 16 September to 13 December 2019. This course is an introduction to the literature of the New Testament. It examines the themes, historical, social and cultural background, and literary character of the New Testament’s books and reflects upon the relevance of their witness to Jesus Christ for contemporary society.
  • THE1103 Introduction to Theology with Olga Druzhinina. 6 January to 21 February 2020. “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10) — what does that involve? Theology, the study of God, is not just about book knowledge, it’s also about reflecting on God and faith in Him, personally and in community. This course explores the need for such theological reflection and also offers a thorough basis for further academic theological study.
  • THE2203/THE2205 Nazarene History and Polity with Andrew Pottenger. 6 January to 3 April 2020. This course introduces the student to the historical heritage and organizational structure of the Church of the Nazarene. Attention is given to historical, theological, and personal factors, which gave rise to the denomination, and to the functions of the church at the local and district levels. 
  • MIN2901 Introduction to Theological Reflection with Mária Gusztinné Tulipán. 24 February to 13 March 2020. This course introduces students to the discipline of theological reflection, exploring individual and corporate experience in conversation with the wisdom of a religious heritage and the need for theological reflection in the Christian community and one’s personal life.
  • MIS1303 Spiritual Formation with Raquel Pereira. 16 March to 15 May 2020. “Read your Bible, pray every day”… If you want to grow – and prepare for ministry to a broken world in need of holy transformation – you need to invest in developing your whole being, holistically. This course explores the spiritual disciplines and provides opportunities for students to apply them in their daily lives and ministry. Special attention is given to the Wesleyan concept of the means of grace.
  • MIN2205 Preaching with Howard Culbertson. 16 March to 26 June 2020. This course introduces the students to the fundamentals of sermon construction and delivery, focusing especially on expository sermons. 
  • MIS1103 God’s Mission and the Church with Gideon de Jong. 18 May to 3 July 2020. Mission Possible! The Lord of Lords calls us to join in His mission, the Missio Dei. Are you ready for this task? – This course follows the Missio Dei through Scripture and explores the role of individuals as God’s agents and the role of the church as the body of Christ, called into existence to fulfill His mission across generations and cultures.
  • MIN1101 Practicum with Alan Schrock. 6 July to 31 July 2020. The EuNC Practicum allows students to gain supervised, practical experience by participating in the ministry of their local church or local context during their programme. Practicum hours are earned by joining and participating in an ongoing, active ministry team or group.
