When we look back on the last decade of our recent EuNC history, we see that we have continuously developed. From a residential school in a central location for many nations, we have grown into a strong decentralized organization as one school in many nations with multilocational Learning Centres. We realized that the school is not a set of buildings but a large family of dedicated people. Our mission has remained the same: enabling Christlike disciples for ministry. The watchword for Christlike leadership is: gifted, called, empowered, and be ready to serve. On Wednesday, 25 March 2020 Rev. Mária Gusztinné Tulipán was elected as the 12th rector of European Nazarene College by an unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees. She and her spouse Imre, District Superintendent of the Hungarian District, are alumni of EuNC, graduating in 1996. Rev. Gusztinné brings with her a rich experience in education, having been involved in various roles, especially as teacher, administrator of the EuNC Learning Centre in Hungary, and serving on the EuNC Curriculum Committee as cluster chair in the area of ministerial skills. She is a graduate of European Nazarene Bible College (BA in Theology and Mission) and the London School of Theology (MA in Theological Education) and speaks three languages (Hungarian, English, and Russian). As a Board of Trustees, we are glad and grateful, that Mária is ready to serve and has accepted the call for this office. She is a highly dedicated follower of Christ and a well experienced minister and lecturer in theology following in the large footsteps of Dr. Klaus Arnold who held this office as rector for 15 years. We all are aware, that this will be a great legacy for Rev. Gusztinné! Her skills, her Christian background, living as a Christian witness under a totalitary, communist system and her persistent commitment are enabling her to take up this great heritage to lead EuNC into the next decade. Rev. Gusztinné started in her role beginning May 1, 2020. The official inauguration will take place at our next annual Board of Trustees & Faculty meeting in February 2021. We wish our new Rector all the best for her new assignment and many blessings in her ministry. Peter Ullinger, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees
