In Touch – August 2026

A Minute from the rector

There is something beautiful about August. While many enjoy a slower pace and a season of rest, another kind of work is quietly taking place. Courses are being prepared, faculty continue their research, new colleagues are joining our community, and plans are coming together for another academic year. Much of what will shape students in the months ahead begins long before the first class meets.

This month's In Touch offers a glimpse into that often unseen ministry. We celebrate new faculty members who have answered God's call to teach, and we follow colleagues who continue to learn through scholarship, research, and dialogue with fellow educators across Europe. Whether presenting EuNC's distinctive model of theological education, engaging with leading Old Testament scholars, or preparing for another year of teaching, they remind us that those who teach must first remain lifelong learners themselves.

At European Nazarene College, we believe that theological education is much more than the transfer of knowledge. It is the formation of people who faithfully serve Christ and His Church. Every lecture prepared, every conversation shared, every new insight gained, and every prayer offered contributes to that calling.

As we look ahead to the Fall Convocation and another academic year, may we all remain teachable before God, growing in wisdom, humility, and faithful witness as we seek to equip others for His Kingdom.

With joy and gratitude,
Mária Gusztinné Tulipán
Rector, European Nazarene College
